GGUSD consistently works to secure state and federal funding for other school improvement projects across the district. The Facilities and Maintenance Departments work tirelessly to ensure schools are consistently improved and well maintained.
Updating Playgrounds
GGUSD is updating kindergarten and primary playgrounds across many elementary schools. Existing metal playground equipment is replaced with modern equipment made with eco-friendly materials and unsurpassed craftsmanship making play accessible to students of all abilities. Worn out rubber matting is replaced with a neutral colored pour-in-place accessible matting. All elementary school playgrounds were assessed and 17 schools will be upgraded by 2019.
